Better Parks for Children and Families

Week #3 Article #2
Davila, Vianna (2013, September 16) Mission Park Pavilions hold grand opening. San Antonio Express News
Category of problem: children, health
Level of problem: Local
This article concerns: This article concerns a newly renovated public park in San Antonio, Texas.  This park has a new performance pavilion, renovated kitchen  and rotunda, new asphalt and brick paving, new lighting, and a new playground.
My input:
This is very important to families in the area of this park for many reasons. This park has a newly renovated and lit playground that is safe for children and will encourage these children and their families to take advantage of this resource and promote family cohesion, health and fitness. This park can also be used as a place for families to come and enjoy live music with the new performance pavilion. Anytime a public park is renovated or created, it helps the families in the communities around them. This gives families accessible ways to spend time together outdoors, stay active and promote healthy lifestyles in a safe, clean environment.
