2. McDonalds is moving toward a more healthier menu to keep up with the demand for more nutritious food.
3. national level
4.A potential policy change that could affect families and individuals.
5. One the leaders of the fast food industry is going to make changes to its menu to promote healthier eating. It will begin to promote more healthy sides and more fruits and vegetables available for consumers to pick from. other fast food giants are trying to make this switch too.
6. I feel that this is idea it self could really benefit those simply can afford more healthy choices. After recently watching food stamped, I feel this has the potential to have a big effect on the outlook of the many issues surrounding food and health in our country. These types of changes are needed to help those who cannot afford healthier choices on a regular basis. McDonald's say they will start to advertise more fruits and vegetables towards children and come up with fun ideas to promote ordering these foods over the unhealthy ones. I believe it is good that the marketers are taking a notice to the demands of the people, and though it could all be an effort to make more money at least this is being fueled by a positive energy. Burger is also making strides at providing healthier food as well; with their recent introduction of low fat, low calorie french fries. Though their will be millions of critics out there I feel some effort made on the part of some food industry giants should go noticed and appreciated. I feel other restaurants will continue to do the same as well as the American trend does shift toward healthier living styles. Even in the most recent changes McDonald's does not include a calorie count of each of the foods that you consume from their restaurant, without having to ask for a nutrition value chart. No, I am not saying for healthier eating McDonald's should be first choice; but at least with these changes you would not have to completely rule it out.
