Level: National level of higher education

The article is concerning:
Helping high-school students out by giving them a better opportunity to reach an upper level of education without having to worry about the finances.

Importance/affect on families or individuals:
Will will have a tremendous impact on low income families who thought sending their children to college would have never been a possibility.

My opinion on the article:
I like the colleges that are supporting this.  The only way students are eligible is if they graduate from high-school first.  One of the biggest problems in this country is lack of education because so many people are not even graduating high-school, let alone graduating from a prestigious university such as the ones offering this "Say Yes" opportunity.  The only problem that they face is who they are going to let in, and who they are going to deny.  Other than that I am in strong support of this.  One of the other bonuses is these are only private universities offering this meaning no money coming from the tax payer to pay entirely for another students tuition,

  1. I think this is a good idea as well. I do believe that our country needs to be more educated. For some people graduating high school is a big accomplishment that they may never seen themselves doing. When you're in a low income family school sometimes may be your last priority. The first being helping your family with bills. So many young children follow the path of gang banging thinking that they will never become anything other then that. Children in low income families have a reduced chance in graduating from high school. I believe that if they know that there is help out there specifically for them to attend a good college that will push them to better their lives and get more education. This will also alleviate some of the stress. It's also great that this isn't coming from taxpayer's money. Everyone will say that the US needs more educated people but when it starts coming out of their check they think twice so all in all I believe that this is a good way to help the communities out.
