2.    Category of problems: Eanes school district want to hire a new assistant principal that has sent students inappropriate text at a school he use to work at

3.    Level of problem: Local

4.    This article concerns: A problem/issue that individuals/families face

5.    Importance/affect on families/individuals: The importance of this is that if Eanes school district were to hire Paul Weil for assistant principal that the district might be putting their student in danger.

6.    My input: I feel that Eanes school district should not hire Paul Weil for assistant principal at Westlake high school because Paul Weil in the past sent several inappropriate text messages to some of his students. Even know there were no criminal changes put against Paul Weil for his acts doesn’t mean that in the future they won’t be or in the future something more might happen with Paul Weil and one of his students besides inappropriate text messages. Also, Paul Weil admitted to sending the text messages and send they were intended as a joke but nobody really knows if that is the truth or if he is just saying that because he got caught. I believe that if there is a chance to stop a problems in the begin stages and before the problem gets to big that it should be done. However, I don’t believe that Principal John Carter should be held accountable for wanting to hire Paul Weil in the first place just because they use to work at the same school in the past. Students should feel safe at school and it is our job as a community and school to make sure that happens for every student.
