2.    Category of problem: Health

3.    Level of problem: Local

4.    This article concerns: An “enacted” policy that has been passed to help with a problem/issues that individuals/families face

5.    Importance/affect on families/individuals: The importance of this policy is that the nonsmoking ban is protecting every one’s health. Also, by banning the e-cigarettes too that affects families/individuals because there are chemicals in those types of cigarettes.

6.    My input: I think it is a wise choice to have banned cigarettes in general because second hand smoke affect families/individuals in negative ways. I don’t think anybody should have to be affect by something negative when they don’t have a choice. For the city banning the e-cigarettes too, I think that is good policy to add because the e-cigarettes still have chemicals in them, and some of the have a very strong smell to them. I mean who wants to smell pancakes while they are eating dinner at a steak place or shopping at HEB. As for the e-cigarettes not having a negative effect on families/individuals, I say give them some time and I am sure the FDA will find one.
