4.    Article Concerns: A man was fired for helping a woman who was being assaulted
5.    Affects families/individuals: This highly affects the individual who was fired from his job. He was fired for helping somebody out and for doing the right thing.

6.    My Concerns: I think that it was very courageous of that man to help out that woman. He witnessed something bad happening and he jumped in to rescue her. It is very rare these days to have someone help you out like that and for him to get punished by his job for doing the right thing is just wrong. I think that it was highly unjustified for Wal-Mart to fire this man for what he did. I understand that Wal-Mart has company policies in place but he was on his break outside sitting in his car. He was not inside his place of work nor was he trying to pick a fight. He was simply doing the right thing by helping out someone who he witnessed was in trouble.

  1. I do agree that it was very courageous of the man to jump in and help and that it was highly unjustified for Wal-Mart to fire the man. If the man was on break and off the clock what is the problem. It couldn't be that he made the company look bad. If anything he made the company look great. A employee caring about the safety of the customers. If they say he didn't have to jump in but if he didn't then how far would it have gone. I believe that this needs further investigation.
