A Sacrifice Betrayed

This is important and affects families because these individuals should not lose anything but be rewarded. It takes away things that they planned of having and shakes how they will live.
I am immensely saddened by the thought that these men and woman are being punished for something that is out of their control. They have put their lives on the line and should be rewarded for sacrificing so much for our country. I believe that there should be a donation to these people along with their families so that they receive the help they deserve. This government shutdown has affected many people including these soldiers willing to give up their lives for our country. Out of all people they should be the last to not receive what they earned. It is true that “even with the government shutdown, we are still at war” and this should be acknowledged and corrected. Taking away these benefits is unfair for what they have done for us and makes it seem like they are not being appreciated. I hope that many people stand up and protest in order to get these benefits back to those in need. When you are counting on something and promised something it should not be taken away. This is frustrating for many whose lives are on the line to help protect and better our country. This government shutdown has cost many people pain and heartache and something should be done fast to fix it.
