Concerning: Students being able to graduate
early and be ready for college.

Why this is important/how does it affect
individuals/families? This opportunity in Dallas gives kids the chance to put
in hard work and learn what they need to so that they can move on and be ready
for college and their career and schools wouldn’t lose their state funding when
a student would graduate early.

My views: I think this is great for students who
know what their plan is and want to put in the time to complete high school
early and move on to something greater and be prepared for it. The plan would
have money going toward all day pre-kindergartens. The couple problems I can
see is senior events like prom and senior day being missed. These were huge
when I was going through high school but the inclusion of the kids in these activities
is an option and there’s no reason that they shouldn’t be. The last year for me
of high school was a blur anyway and useless because I did all my homework in
class and was out of class by noon every day. I had major “senioritis” and is
probably by I have such bad procrastination in all my college classes. I should
have been learning things for college instead of doing busy work.
