Democrat announces bid for AG

Democrat announces bid for Attorney General

Category of problem: Election/Economy

Level of problem: State

A problem/issue that individuals/families face.

How does this affect individuals/families? Electing a state official or representative will impact policies and changes to individual’s daily lives.

My views on the issue/policy: I do not consider myself a Republican or Democrat at this point in time, but I do think it is time for a change in Texas. If a Democrat can make that positive change this state needs then that is great news for Texas. No matter who becomes our Attorney General, something beyond our same rules and policies will take affect and a change will happen. I feel a positive one. There have been so many negative issues and complaints going on in Texas as well as the U.S. that any change would do Texas good. Sam Houston is a well-known, high-powered attorney in Houston, TX. With more than 25 years of law experience, he is prepared to take on the roll as Attorney General. Our current AG, Greg Abbott, also feels that some of our Texas laws are flawed and need to be reformed. He has been our AG for 11 years so I think it’s time to elect a fresh, new leader. Let’s start with implementing a better education program in our secondary schools and illegal immigration.
