4. According to the chronicle, the stepmother of a child accused of cyber bullying was charged with assault of a minor and negligence when videos surfaced of her abusing a child.
5. This is important to families all over the country because cyber bullying is on the rise and we need to monitor our children online. It is also important because if children are showing bullying tendencies, we need to look into the environment at home and see what it is that makes them think that bullying is ok. It could stem from watching their parent bully a sibling or even bully them.
6. Back when I was 12 years old the bullies were on the playground and thats then only place you really had to deal with them, unless they called your house, but you could always hang up. Now, kids have to deal with whole new form of bullying that is becoming more and more relevant. Children today are putting all the bullying out there for other students to see, see again, and show other kids. It humiliating for the victim because they have to relive it all over again and again. We as adults have to monitor what our children are doing online and look for red flags that could signal a bully. If we do notice bullying occurring we need to look into the environment that they are living and see if it is conducive to the bullying. Homes like the one that this particular Fla. teen could make bullying look like everyday life. They don't realize that what they are doing is harming others to a much greater extent. That, and they could also use bullying as a way to feel powerful away from their home in which they become the victim.
