My input: When I heard this new, I could not
believe what I was hearing. I don’t understand how a student got a gun on
campus but then again there was nothing stopping him from being a gun on
campus, there are no metal detectors at, which is my opinion no high schools
should have metal detectors. I feel that if a school has metal detectors even
know that the school might feel it is for the safety of the students, it might
make the students feel unsafe even know nothing gun related has ever happened
at the school. I would never allow my child go to a school with metal detectors
because I feel that metal detectors give schools a bad vibe and tells the
students that there is something they should have to worry about. As this story
develops we learn that the student took his own life during lunch on the campus
and just hours before he posted about what he was planning on doing on his face
book but nobody believed him. It makes me wonder if just one person would have
believed him would he be here today. What I wonder the most is why did he take
his own life and why do it at school. I think it was very important for the
school to have counseling on school for any students who needed it because as a
parent how do you prepare your child for something like this. As a parent you
never want to think that your child would have to deal with something like this
in their live.
