2. Category
of problem: Drivers illegally passing school buses
3. Level
of Problem: Local
4. This
article concerns: A problem/issue that individuals/families face
5. Importance/affect
on families/individuals: This is importance because children are getting hurt
because drivers are passing school bus illegally.
6. My
input: I feel that this boy being hit by a car could have been prevent one hundred
percent and all the driver would have to
do is not pass the school bus illegally. I understand that sometimes people are
in a hurry but that is still not a good reason to pass a school bus illegally
and take the risk that someone might get hurt. The school districts using
cameras on school buses I think is a really good idea because if an accident
happens because a driver passed a school bus illegally, we would know what exactly
happened. However, I don’t think the city should be able to use these cameras
to give out fines to drives for passing buses illegally because the officer was
not there to see it with his/her own eyes. I think the cameras should be on
every bus but only used for accident purposes only and nothing more.
