4. Importance/effect
on families/individuals: Taxes paid by the families would go to build a new Wal-Mart
in neighborhood.
5.
This article concerns: School district turned down the vote which would provide
Wal-Mart with tax incentives to build a new store.
6. My
input: For a company such as Wal-Mart to ask a school district to supply them
with money to build a new store is quite unnecessary since Wal-Mart already
makes billions of dollars. The deal was all about the money. In the city of
Kyle on Tuesday October 2nd they had a similar meeting about a truck stop being
built at Yarrington Road. This plan was cut as well because of the lack of
cooperation between the city council and the developer. For big companies such
as Wal-Mart to ask for help to open a store is sad but a win for the community.
The school district was given an easy choice as to what was to be done.
