2. Category of problem: Government
3.
Level of problem: National
4.
The article concerns: That they will not reopening the government without
talking about it. Also each side does not seem to be ready to change their
mind.
5. Why is this important to families/individuals OR
how does it affect individuals/families?
The government
has been shut down for a week now. It affects
families or individual that gets government assistant program like WIC and food
stamp. Will not been receiving it with the government do not reopening soon.
6. What are your views on the issue/policy?
It is crazy because
you have the president telling the Speaker of the House that he will not
negotiate over reopening the government or must- pass legislation to prevent a U.S.
default on its obligations. How come you
want to do what is best for the people who voted you into the position that you
are in now. While some of the senate like Majority Leader Harry Reid is only
willing to negotiate about the budget if the government fund and lifted the
debt ceiling while the republicans seem to want not to do that. I think they
need to start thinking about the people of American that they have going
through this craziness because each party are too minded about what they want
and does not really want to compromise to me. The House wants to make up with bipartisan
so they can pay the federal workers on time. To me it is great that they want
to pay federal workers on time because nobody is wants to work and not get pay
for it no matter how much they love their jobs. So what about the national parks and the poor
people who depend on government assistant? What the
people who are really suffering because we have a government where the people
in charge cannot make up their mind and with that it is really affecting their
life in a really bad way. Also the Defense Department cannot send out check to service member who family member is killed to do a
funeral because they do not have the authority. It is because of those brave
men and women willing to service their country that we have peace in this
country.
