4. Article
Concerns: Representatives were arrested at Capitol Hill for protesting the
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill.
5. Affects
individuals/families: This could potentially affect individuals and families
who are living in this country illegally. This could allow illegal immigrants
potential citizenship to our Country.
6. My
Concerns: I am still kind of neutral to this issue. On one hand I think that
border control should be increased and that we should stop or make it harder
for floods of immigrants to come into our Country. On the other hand I feel that
the immigrants who have already been living here should have the opportunity to
gain citizenship to our Country. While I feel that every individual should be
able to have free speech and stand up for what they believe in, it makes me a
little angry to see Representatives being arrested for protesting when we have
a Government shutdown going on. This is an important issue but I feel that
there are more important issues going on right now that need to be taken care
of before this issue get resolved.
