Level of article: National (Military)

Category of Article: Military funding during government shutdown

Article concerns:
The government cannot support the families of those killed in action because of the government shutdown is not not allowing the compensation for military at the moment.

Affect on Families and individuals:
This clearly is having a huge affect on families all over the nation.  Many families are widowed and left to support their children and themselves and it is often difficult to do so without the help of government financial support.  It is amazing that this corporation is willing to help out and pay the families that are in need of support.

My opinion on the article:
I think it is great that corporations such as Fisher House are willing to help out the American military population that have been hurt the most from war.  The article doesn't state whether there will be interest or not so this may just be a ploy by Fisher House to make way more money in the long run.  That aside the real victims here are the families and any way they can get a check I am in full support of.  Hopefully the government will not be into even more debt from this when the shutdown is complete but at this point I'm personally more concerned with the families getting what they were promised.
