2. Category: Anti-discrimination against hose of different race, religious views and sexual preferences.

3. Local

4. A enacted policy that has been passed to help with a problem that individual/families face

5. The affects individuals and families who seek employment through the state/city but have been denied because of religious views, sexual orientation, and race. This ordinance gives them an equal opportunity to do so.

6. I agree with San Antonio’s decision to pass this ordinance that does not allow discrimination against those based on sexual orientation, religion, and race. Anyone living in this country despite their personal preference or race should have the right to a job opportunity rather it is for the city or working within a company. The fact that the republican political leaders were taking such a stand against this topic poor represents the foundation upon which America was founded in the first place. This country was founded upon the grounds to free choose without being ostracized and prosecuted by the public or governing officials. The argument of Gregg Abbot is that this ordinance is blasphemous towards majority of the population religious beliefs and this act is extreme.  I do not feel laws or ordinances should be based on the approval of some it should be based on what is morally and ethically right. There is suppose to be a clear division between church and state, but continuously, not just in this situation, religion beliefs continues to play a huge role  in the justification of passing or denying a law or ordinance. Each citizen should be viewed as person not categorized based on personal preferences or race. Eliminating these types of ordinances will not do anything but even further lower the confidence the public has in the government doing what is right for the community as whole. Though the majority does agree with the republic view point, but who are they to pass judgment.
