Show me the money!

2. Economy and National Debit Ceiling

3. National Level

4. A potential policy that is being considered that could effect individuals and families.

5. This is important to individuals and families because this topic greatly affects how money flows in our country. Without the proper funding many programs that people rely on will be cut to make up for this enormous deficit.

6. The fact that our country is going this this crisis once again is retarded. Once again the government has played with the national deficit line and once it again it approaches the limit and congress will decide if the rate should be raised or it should be left alone. I am fully aware of the concept “ to make money one must spend money”. However that is how we got ourselves into this mess in the first place. If we were to cute defense spending only slightly, it would give us some kind of relief. The 38 million dollar military base not being used in Iraq could be a little could be that little relief. By no means am I saying cutting just that one base will be enough to solve the national debit but it could give us just a little more time to think of a more efficient way of recovering from this debt rather than continuing to raise our credit limit. Then the fact that we keep borrowing money to pay bills we our only digging our self deeper and deeper into a financial hole. I do believe funding should be cut in numerous places but only those that do not directly affect how our society functions. Even if that means some technological advances may be delayed someone in DC needs to grow a pair and do what needs to be done. I firmly believe there are many more government programs, along with their outrageous salaries, that can be cut to help “relieve” some of this national debit stress.
