This article concerns: The district is
implementing a new security system that requires school visitors to check in at
the office and scan their license or other state-issued identification card on
their first visit.

The ID will be checked against a national sex offender database to ensure

This will affect families greatly because when it comes to their children
safety is the number one concern. By having this system in play, this will
allow them to see what time a visitor arrives, name and photo. When they come
back, they can show ID and be checked in. This all sounds great but when you
think about it, how do they know that it isn’t a student. Graham ISD doesn’t
have student badges so how will they know who is who? The crime rate in Graham isn’t
too bad. This policy can help but I honestly think that money could be used
elsewhere.
