Wrongly arresting individuals of a crime they didn’t commit.
This affects families and our society because these mistakes take away the live many innocent people.
These errors by law enforcement are causing people that don’t deserve to be in jail to give up their lives. I think that this is ridiculous and obviously the city should look at their legal system. Much more investigation should go into charging a person for a crime. I don’t understand how they are not going by the “innocent until proven guilty” saying. I think about the families of these individuals and it breaks my heart to know that they have lost valuable time with them. The one thing I hate the most is being accused of doing something I did not do. I hope that these people are given a big reward but this will never bring back what they have lost in their lives. It’s a shame that the officials are not even correcting the errors and question how they even got their jobs in the first place. I do not want to think that police officers can be so crooked when we put out trust in them. These errors are obviously not “rare” and need to be corrected immediately. This is unfair and frustrating and I hope I never experience such a horrible situation.
