More Trims To Benefits Are Expected

More Trims To Benefits Are Expected

2.      Category* of Problem/Issue identified in article: Food Stamps/ Economy
3.      Level of problem/issue: Federal
4.      This article is concerning a issue that individuals and families of the United States face.

5.   This is extremely important to individuals and families because the food benefits will be reduced and the poor families and individuals who where receiving these benefits will receive less food and need to expend more money making a problem when they don’t have it.

6.   I think this is a really big problem. The money offered at the Food Stamp program I think is not enough to help a needy family. The amount was not too large and a cut of the budget will increase the economic problems that individuals and families face already. I also think that this will maybe help the government to keep more money but just temporary because I do think that this will affect the future economy of the country because the consumption of food and non food items will also be reduced because people will just save the money they have. A cut in the rest of the benefits program such as the unemployment benefits will definitely affect our entire nation from all perspectives. Government should think other way to save money but not cutting down the small amount of benefits that exit already for the people who need it. The main responsibility of the government is to keep safe and look for the people needs which I think they’re not taking into consideration the big problems that a cut in the benefits for a poor family can be.  Future trims to benefits for the people who need it is definitely not the way to go in this case.
