4 A potential policy that could solve a problem that families/individuals face

5. Data shows that trans fat are a hugh contributor to heart disease. The F.D.A. is making it impossible for business to use trans fat in their food products.

6. I would like to see more of this type of action taken by the government. The health of our people is what will keep this country from slipping further into medical debt. Contents of food that are known to have direct cause to chronic illness should be eliminated from the use. Its obvious by the numbers that a majority of people do not concern themselves about the food they, however that percentage is rising it is not enough. We make cigarettes and alcohol unavailable to people under a certain age because it is damaging to their health. Well the same concept should be applied to food as well. Food is obtainable by people of all ages. So if taking the necessary measures will prolong human life and reduces illness then I see no objection to this taking place. It is no secret that the health of America is far from satisfactory and more additives that are known to cause health problems should be eliminated form the process. There are other means to be able to make the foods people love with different ingredients that will not directly cause chronic illness. Maybe if the government looked at the real affect food has on ones health maybe they would be just a little more concerned. However, I am aware that government is not responsible for the food choices we make however, they are responsible for allowing known additives that cause disease to still be used in processed foods
