Birth Control and the Healthcare laws

Level: National
Category: Healthcare
Concerning:  An enacted policy affecting families and individuals
This is important because it will lead to more law suits again the health care act as well as full time jobs.
My views: So being a senior and graduating in December, I am on the hunt for a full time job for when I graduate. This however, is being more difficult every day. I got offered a full time job at the outlets being an entry level management position. After the weekend passed, I was notified that position has been made part time and there for the girl who was currently in the position decided to stay there and work at her new job, all because of the new health care laws and companies cutting full time positions like hot cakes.
For the issue that concerns birth control, being a woman who takes birth control, I don’t even agree with this new policy. Yes it helps with a lot of things, but it is my personal decision to whether take it or not. Businesses shouldn’t have to pay for medication that is not deemed necessary for my personal health.  If a business has all men, they will still have to pay for these because it is in the policy. I wish that this company in Ohio was able to come up with a better excuse than religious purposes because there are Catholics who go again the religion and still use some sort of birth control. In all honestly, the policy is great for these who don’t have health insurance and have no prospects of have a job that already has healthcare. But for those who are working full time risk the position because the company can’t afford the new regulation. I just wish it would go back to the old days pre healthcare reform.
