3. Level of problem: National level
4. The article concerns: Airlines, particularly Delta Air Lines passengers being able to pay extra fees for extra goodies.
5. Why is this important to families/individuals OR how does it affect individuals/families?
--Families and individuals who travel get bombarded with different fees. Now they will be able to choose to pay fees that will upgrade them to the "good life".
6. What are your views on the issue/policy?
--Throughout my entire life I have been on an airplane at least once a year. I’ve been on different airlines at different times with different people going to different places. Even though the type of airline or the destination changes each time, it is still the same boring and unforgettable experience. I think what Delta Air Lines is developing with their fees to the "good life" is something that I personally would take part in. These different upgrades that they are offering would help a range of people. From families of four, a couple, and also a heavier set man or women flying alone. Being able to upgrade to seats with larger leg room, early boarding passes, or the ability to buy the seat next to you will make flying a better experience.
The world now and especially the new generation are all about mass customization. For airlines to be able to know their individual customers and their wants, habits, and routines while flying will give that specific airline a leg up. Along with mass customization, the people in the world today love their technology. For an airline to provide an iPad with movies loaded onto it is just another perk that we have come to. "We want to get back to a point where people feel like travel isn't something to endure, but something they can enjoy." This article makes me want to buy my next airline ticket from Delta Air Lines. I want to be part of the "good life". Now airlines need to focus on how to lower the initial ticket prices.
