Parking Permits Problem at Texas State University

Parking Permits Problem at Texas State University

2.      Category* of Problem/Issue identified in article: Parking on Campus
3.      Level of problem/issue: Local
4.      A problem/ issue that individuals face.

5.      This is really important to all the Texas State University community because it creates problems among the students who purchase parking permits at a really high cost and they are not able to get a spot at all.

6.   It is incredible how parking spots in this university (Texas State University) are always full. I think the rising of the parking permit cost its extremely unfair for students who pay their parking permits and they are not able to get a parking spot. It is an excessive amount of commuter parking permits sold and a really few amount of commuter parking lots. This creates a really big problem for the university because in a future this would be a bigger problem when the number of students starts to increase even more. The main reason of the excess on commuter parking permits it’s because of the extremely high cost of the residential parking permits. I think this is logical because the students who live at campus don’t have the money to pay this price so they opt for a cheaper parking permit creating big problems for the entire university. I think this is a really important problem that needs to be reviewed by the university to find a solution as soon as possible.
