New Health Law
left Millions of Poor Uncovered
2. Category* of
Problem/Issue identified in article: Health/Obama
care
3. Level of
problem/issue: Federal
4. An “enacted” policy that has been passed to help with
a problem/issue that individuals/families face
5. This is extremely important because the already health
law passed in the country is causing a lot of consequences to the entire people
living in the United States. There are many poor people that are being affected
because of the state’s laws not expanding Medicaid programs.
6. It has been a big and confusing problem all of the
consequences since the Obama care Law was passed. The government shutdown and
the concerned citizen who live on the states that are not expanding Medicaid
programs are some of the most relevant consequences. I think all of these
problems would bring a big crisis to our country soon. There a lot of
unexplained things that citizens not fully understand. Almost every citizen is
confused about what is going in our country right now. This situation with the
people who will be affected from this new law is really upsetting. It is sad
and unbelievable that a law created to help people at federal level left
millions of poor people uncovered and unable to qualify for health care at some
states that rejected their expansion of Medicaid. From my point of view this
new law should be discussed and resolved between the government again in order
to find a rapid solution to the problem trying to help all of the entire population
of the United States making this fair enough for every citizen.
This is crazy how they tell people who are poor and need health insurance that they can’t get it. You have people who are sick but can’t go to the hospital due to the fact that they don’t have health care. If people can’t go to the hospital to get checkup to know what is going on with their body or if the sickness is something that if they get on medicine will be down control. You have families that poor and need health care but the government is not expand the Medicaid. It is hard enough for them to make it with the Medicare but getting that way from them is not right. Why is the morally behind that? You have a man in Mississippi that will no longer been get Medicaid since he doesn’t have dependent and make and he is below Mississippi ceiling to get insured. Even though he is working as maintenance worker in a school but his income is too low for him to qualify for federal health exchange. I think it is crazy and the government need to something about it. It seems to me like the government doesn’t really care for the poor and their family. You also have about 14 million eligible Americans are uninsured and living in poverty, that was found by the Times analysis. To me that is way too much people not to be getting health insurance. If these people don’t get health insurance and they get sick, they will have to go to the E.R to get treatment which they all have to pay for because the hospitals will find a way to add that to everyone bill when we go to the hospital for some type of checkup. You also have a woman who is 55 years old and who is current unemployed having been waiting for the affordable are and she found that is not qualified. She also has high blood pressure. It is ridiculous what is going on and how so many people are getting affected and the government seems to not be doing anything about it. It seem that the stated that need the health care are choosing to reject the expansion why will a state or people choose to reject something that they need to me that is ridiculous.
