4. The article concerns:
-A 72 year-old man is arrested who killed a two-year old in Travis County. He was sentenced 4 years of deferred adjudication

5. Why is this important to individuals/families OR How does it affect individuals/families?
-This incident and the way it was carried out makes Travis County look like a joke, aside from the pain that the family of the child will suffer from all this.

6. What are your views on the issue/problem?
-The Statesman initially says that the man was suspected of being intoxicated, and tampering with evidence by dumping out what was said to be alcohol out of his car after the incident. An update by the Statesman later says that the man was "under the legal limit." This all sounds very fishy to me and I think that Travis County did not handle this case correctly. The update also states that "it would have been unavoidable for anyone to hit the child," and this makes me wanting more information on the story. The fact that this man had the audacity to do a hit and run is astounding...thankfully, a witness was able to jump in his car and chase him down. The decision the court made in sentencing this man will affect similar cases in the future.
