1.    Graczyk, M. (2013 October, 2). Texas reveals execution drug’s origin. The Houston Chronicle. Retrieved from http://www.chron.com/news/texas/article/APNewsBreak-Texas-reveals-execution-drug-s-origin-4862764.php?cmpid=houtexhcat
2.    Category of Problem: The Death Penalty
3.    Level of Problem: State
4.    Article concerns: A local place is making the death penalty drug and providing it to Texas prisons.
5.    Affects families/individuals: This affects the prisoners who are sentenced to the death penalty. This also affects all of the individuals and families that live in the Houston area being that this is where the drug is being made.

6.    My concerns: I am not really too sure how I feel about this issue yet. Texas uses the death penalty so much that they are running out of the drug that they use. A local pharmacy is making this drug and selling it to state prisons in Texas. My thought is how are they getting away with this? How is this pharmacy making such a lethal drug and selling it to state prisons to use? Are the people that live in the city paying for the pharmacy to be able to make this drug? There are so many unanswered questions. I wonder if this is even legal. While I do believe that some prisoners deserve to get the death penalty for the crimes that they have committed I also think that it is wrong for this local pharmacy to be making such a lethal drug and then selling it to prisons. This has the potential to be very dangerous especially if it ends up in the wrong hands.
